The once dark and narrow kitchen is now modern, fitted beautifully and flooded with light thanks to the new skylights. We also wanted a downstairs cloakroom built in the entrance hallway. Pat and his team came up with a clever solution to get the plumbing and soil waste from the front to the back of the house where the drainage was. It wasn't easy, but they found a way - and we are delighted.

Having been in the property industry for over 20 years and refurbishing many properties during that time, all I can say is that meeting Patrick and his team was like a breath of fresh air.
Patrick’s diligence and attention to detail was just amazing, his team were always on time and left the property spotless and most importantly ‘safe’ at the end of each day. This was important to us as we have a young family, and is something that Patrick understood, being a family man himself. My 4 year old daughter was asking where he was for weeks after he completed the job! Patrick was respectful in regards to our neighbours, making sure that they knew if noise may be an issue by knocking on the door and pre-warning them in advance and also giving them his personal mobile number, should they have any concerns or complaints.
Patrick wasn’t the cheapest quote that we had but to be frank, was worth every penny and I wouldn’t consider using anybody else from now on. If we had a problem, Patrick was there within the hour, even outside of the working day or at the weekend. He was even able to put me in touch with a great architect who was incredibly reasonable on price and I think that this helped the jobs run smoothly.
It’s a massive thumbs up from me for PJH Building contractors and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t go to anyone else in the future.

After having a conversation back in October 2016 about some building repairs, I could tell from the start that PJH Building Contractors was the company I was going to proceed with to get my repairs done. I had a leaking roof which had caused damage to one of the exterior walls which was supported by an insufficient concrete lintel. After receiving a competitive quote, work got under way in a very quick, precise and professional manner. A steel was put in, followed by a new bathroom and kitchen to a very high standard. After seeing their work, I immediately decided that I also wanted them to get to work on my loft conversion, to extend my 2 bed house into a 4 bed.
Once the work was completed, I decided to put the house up for rental and due to the high quality finish, I was able to achieve a very good yield in rent. After the first viewing, I received an offer and managed to get very reputable, reliable tenants moved in within a week of completion.

Pat was recommended to us by a friend who had used his team to build their kitchen extension. He and his team did a beautiful job of converting our loft in the winter of 2015/16. Their attention to detail was particularly impressive, as this is often something I find lacking toward the end of a build. I think they really enjoy the finish of a job rather than rushing it through.
At the time of our conversion our boy was a newborn. Pat and the team were incredibly sensitive to the situation and caused us no unnecessary upheaval. They even created their own entrance to the loft so as not to disturb us until the very last moment.
